Breckenridge was out in full force for the premiere of Role Model Productions recent flick "Cockfight." With many of the riders from this movie being based in Summit County, you better believe Colorado showed its love for the Role Model crew. It was Breckenridge's 50th birthday as well, which also brought many of the city slickers out.
The mountain provided some typical opening day weather, but that didn't stop the mobs of people from flooding the T-Bar and stacking the lines of the Colorado Super Chair at the base of Peak 8. No one likes long lift lines, but you couldn't help but smile from all the energy in the air. The excitement felt by all is just evidence of how excited everyone is that the season has begun. With opening days from the rest of the CO resorts just around the corner, winter fever is set to take control of the rest of the state in no time.
So after a plenty of slashes and park runs, it was time to party. Cecilias was the place and Snowboard Colorado, along with Role Model Productions and Burton, were the hosts. It gave everyone a chance to look at the great footage collected by some of the realest crews in the game from the previous year. It gave everyone that sense of, "Last year was such an amazing one, its time to make this one even better." Its so crazy to think about what kind of hammers are gonna be dropped on the snowboarding world this year.
