Who are you and what are you about?
I am Joe Suta, and I am about inventing cures to which there is no disease.
Where are you based out of?
Frisco, Colorado on planet Earth.
What do you do to support snowboarding?
I exploit the ideals of true community to foster a better snowboarding environment for the rest of us to die in. During that process, NIGHTMARE builds and designs snowboards that are at eye level within the circle of snowboarding's ne'er-do-wells.
Clear up the worst misconception about your brand.
There are no misconceptions. You see us at you want to see us - in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions.
What do you see as the biggest problem in snowboarding?
The ski industry as well as the invention of the pipe dragon. BOTH machines marked the beginning of turning snowboarding into something it is not.
Who is your target market?
Humans who "just cannot fucking take it anymore."
Any types of people you DON'T want representing your brand?
Make a choice while you still have a chance.
Where do see the company in 10 years?
Still climbing the ladder of success, dressed in the costume of failure.
Have you ever turned down a retail shop that wanted to carry your goods? Who and why?
Yes, the average market place is not a good fit for Nightmare. Selling Nightmare is not a good fit for Nightmare... so fuck, how do we do this? We (me) individually work with every snowboard retailer and listen to their concerns within the current market. We align ourselves accordingly to that shop and PUSH our involvement, we stay as closely involved as possible with each retailer. In the end, we select the shops we work with so we can represent alongside the same ideals while people consume them. Working together, the retailer and company are more zeroed in on the exact revenue stream entering and exiting - so that we both can survive.
What local shops carry your products?
Future Shock in Frisco, CO and in Breckenridge, CO at GODSPEED RNC.
Anything else you want people to know about?
This is our only chance, every day we are making a deal with death. When we are dead we are gone...and that shit is forever. What you do with your time is on you. NIGHTMARE is what we do with our time, thank you.
