Powderhorn Mountain Resort (PMR) is pleased to announce it is opening for the 2014-15 season on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.
PMR will open with the Take Four Quad to midway and the Easy Rider chair lifts with access to Lower Peacemaker and EZ runs. Additional trails will open as conditions allow. Chairlifts will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week starting on Saturday. The Sunset Grill, Ski & Ride Center, Rental Department and the Alpine Trader will also be open. The tubing hill will be opening soon.
“We are looking forward to another great season and are ready to get the chair lifts turning and people on the slopes! We did receive 6 – 10 inches of snow from the storm systems this past weekend and additional snowfall is forecast for the next few days,” said Dave Smith, Powderhorn’s marketing manager.
Lift ticket prices have been reduced while terrain is limited to $39 for Adults, $34 for Youth, $20 for Juniors, $11 for Children, $34 for Seniors and $22 for those 75 and older. Once additional terrain is opened, prices will return to regular rates.
PMR will also have a special Brass Quintet Christmas Concert from the 12th Street Brass Band with special guest Destinee Reed on December 20 starting at 3:30 p.m. The Brass Quintet will be playing a 45-minute holiday favorites concert at the Sunset Grill.
On Sunday, December 21, PMR will be giving away a pair of tickets to the December 28 Denver Broncos vs. Oakland Raiders game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium. Each person who purchases a Colorado Native beer or an order of wings will receive a raffle ticket for the drawing and must be present to win. Drawing will be held after 4 p.m.
