Just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, Breckenridge Ski Resort announced today the resort's plans for expanded skier services and the opening of Peak 9 terrain this Wednesday, Nov. 23rd as well as opening celebrations for the DoubleTree by Hilton Breckenridge and the NEW Maggie Deck in the Village base area.
The NEW Maggie Deck and Expanded Terrain
And if that isn't enough to be thankful for, Breckenridge Ski Resort is celebrating the opening of the NEW expanded Maggie Deck with a live performance by the band Salem, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Celebrations start early with free doughnuts to the first 50 people at the base of the Quicksilver SuperChair followed by a tapping of the Breckenridge 50th Anniversary Ale at 11 a.m. with specials throughout the afternoon.
Thanks to a remarkable effort by the Breckenridge snowmaking team Peak 9 trails will include Silverthorne, Crosscut and lower Sawmill. Guests staying on Peak 9 will have access to Peak 8 terrain via Quicksilver SuperChair and the Peak 8 SuperConnect. Skiers and riders will be able to ski back to Peak 9 via the Crosscut and Sawmill trails. Breckenridge Ski Resort will have approximately 270 total acres of skiing and riding for this holiday weekend.
DoubleTree by Hilton™ Breckenridge Grand Opening
Located just steps away from the ski lifts on Peak 9, the brand new DoubleTree by Hilton Breckenridge, formerly the Great Divide Lodge, will officially open its doors to the public on Nov. 23rd.
