The flakes have been falling steadily on Loveland the past week making for some of the best skiing and riding conditions so far this season! Last weekend saw nearly a foot fall on Saturday and Sunday and the accumulation continued this week with another 10 inches of fresh. Overall we ended up with 24.5 inches in just the last 7 days bringing our season total to 181 inches! The sun has finally come out after all of this snow and we are looking forward to a fantastic weekend.
After over 2 feet in a week, could it get any better? Of course it can! The Loveland Ridge Cat is set to make it's first laps of the season starting this Saturday, January 23! Be sure to grab your Ridge Cat Access Pass for no cost at the Loveland Season Pass Office. For those unaware, Loveland's Ridge Cat offers snow cat rides along the north side of the Continental Divide to access some of our most challenging terrain. If you like it steep and deep, The Ridge Cat is your ride to the goods! In addition to a Ridge Cat Access pass, you must have a valid lift ticket or 15/16 season pass and must be at least 18 years of age to sign the waiver. Ridge Cat operations are always weather and conditions dependant, so be sure to check for the blinking blue light on the trail map at the base of the Basin to see if it is running.
