KEYSTONE KICKS OFF THEIR RAIL JAM SERIES: PHOTOS AND VIDEO

On September 15th, Keystone hosted the first of their three part A51 River Run Rail Series. You really couldn't have asked for a nicer day. Tons of snow was brought in and the park crew built a small stair setup at the base of the mountain near the River Run gondola that looked fun, albeit a bit slow. It also looked like riders were having a difficult time landing, especially as the snow wore thin later in the day and everyone was just landing on the plastic that had been laid underneath. But these are the difficulties of having a rail jam when there is no natural snow and I'd bet that Keystone has it straightened out by the next jam on opening weekend. Though I understand that a contest like this needs to be capped at a certain number of competitors, I am hoping that they come up with some sort of application process for the future jams that keeps the talent level high and ensures Colorado's top rail dudes are able to get in.

All in all, congrats to Keystone for a rad event, and thanks for having us!
