Once again, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is offering FREE lift tickets on opening day, Nov. 26. All you have to do is show up and go to the Main Ticket office at the Adventure Center to receive your free ticket. The mountain has received 13" of new snow since Saturday and over 3 feet of snow in the past 2 weeks, setting them up for a promising opening day.
Six total lifts will be spinning, including the Paradise lift, along with Red Lady, Teocalli, Peachtree, Pine Lift, and Aspen Lift. There will be 33 total trails open: Augusta, High Tide, Bubba’s Short Cut, Bushwackers, Gus’s way, Meander, Paradise Access, Ruby Access, Short cut, Conundrum, Houston, Kubler, Lower Smith Hill, Upper Smith Hill, Mineral Point, Poverty Gulch, Lower Keystone (with full jib park), Lower Rollercoaster, Peanut, Tulsa, Warming House Hill, Bear, Fall Away, Lower Canaan, Lower Forest Queen, Lower Ruby Chief, Paradise Bowl, Upper Forest Queen, Upper Gallowich, Upper Treasury, Upper Ruby Chief, Breakfast Trail, Ruby Steep
There will also be live music from Butte Grass at Butte 66 featuring Tyler Grant and Friends (Chris Elliot on banjo, Adrian Engfer on bass, Jordan Ramsey on Mandolin). CJ Conway will play from 12:30-2:00 and Tyler Grant and Friends go on at 2:30. Opening day is also "circus carnival" themed if you're into that sort of thing.
