The 2013/2014 winter season officially kicked off this morning at Copper Mountain when the American Eagle and Excelerator chairlifts began turning at 9 a.m. Throughout opening weekend, both American Eagle and Excelerator chairlifts and the Easy Rider surface lift will service Main Vein, Rhapsody, Ptarmigan and Easy Rider trails totaling 55 acres of top-to-bottom skiing and riding, plus Woodward at Copper's Eagle Jib Park, located off of the top of the American Eagle chairlift. A second Woodward Jib Park is located at the bottom of Rhapsody with medium-sized features.
On Opening Day, guests can try their luck on Copper Mountain's Loot Lift, a contest based on the NYC hit Cash Cab. Guests riding the Loot Lift (aka the American Eagle chairlift) are randomly selected and quizzed during their ride to the top of the mountain, earning prizes as they go. Be sure to freshen up on Copper Mountain trivia; prizes include Copper lift tickets, Village at Copper gift cards, GoPro cameras and more. For more information, visit www.CopperColorado.com.
