Aspen Skiing Co. and KSL Capital add to their list of recent acquisitions with the purchase of Mammoth Mountain, shortly after purchasing Intrawest Resorts. This new deal includes June Mountain, Snow Summit, and Bear Mountain adding over 6,000 acres of Southern California terrain across these four resorts! These resorts have reported over 2 million visits per year and would really enhance a potential Epic Pass rival offered by Aspen Skiing - KSL which may be available for the 2018 - 2019 winter season. Talks of a pass that could compete against the Epic Pass would now allow access to over 25,000 acres of terrain spread out across 15 resorts, four states, and Canada. This would be an amazing alternative to Vail's Passes and the Mountain Collective Pass which doesn't have any unlimited riding available.
