On April 7, 2012 Winter Park Resort hosted So-Gnar’s Shred Circuit Series Finals. The Shred Circuit Finals consisted of the 12 winners that pre-qualifed after winning each of their tour stops, along with four riders that qualified from the morning qualifier round and 4 wildcard spots that were given.
There were 20 total competitors during the Shred Circuit Finals, so the competition was pretty heavy. There were some unbelievable tricks being thrown and everyone was throwing down as hard as they possibly could.
So-Gnar launched the 6th Annual So-Gnar Mighty Midwest Snowboard Camp Tour in combination with all NEW Shred Circuit Contest series with the support of international brands like Red Bull, Contour & Allian along with local Colorado brands including Coalatree, Purl, People Water and Firehouse. The SGSCT is an organic, one-of a kind tour, that is truly an independent lifestyle tour of snowboard camps and the Shred Circuit (SC) contest series, which runs from December 2011 through April 2012 based on fun, creativity and the growth of snowboarding within each community we visit.
The Inaugural Shred Circuit Finals turned out to be an amazing weekend. Despite having a late night full of Karaoke the night prior to finals, the crew still managed to throw down on the custom So-Gnar setup. The music and ambiance was set courtesy of Michal Menert, Input, DJ A-ray, and Small Hands. Big ups to Chris Faronea for the great photographs from the weekend at Winter Park Resort.
