Frustrated by crappy conditions in North America, Pat Moore sets his sights on Europe and books a flight to Switzerland for his first-ever European Pow filming trip. He arrives in the Alps to find fresh powder and an all-star crew to shred with: Jake Welch, John Jackson, Nicolas Müller, & Jake Blauvelt. The group vibe is pure stoke as the boys take full advantage of a bluebird powder day and Switzerland's feature-filled natural terrain. For this episode, Pat has travelled far outside his filming comfort zone of North America & quickly tunes into the European approach, riding & filming on lift-access resort terrain and maximizing his time spent strapped in. As always, the take-awy from this travel piece is simple: keep exploring. You'll never know ’til you go.
For this episode, Pat was busy with prior obligations in Jackson. In his absence, he turned the controls over to Jake Welch who joined up with John Jackson for a trip to Europe. This year is Jackson’s first season back after two winters sidelined by injuries. Definitely a redemption year for the former award-winning, standard-setting freestyle powerhouse. John shares thoughts on his mental & physical recovery as he & Jake hunt for powder in Switzerland with Kurt Heine, one of snowboarding’s most experienced filmmakers. John J is hyped to be back on snow and feeling strong so the crew turns lemons into lemonade and laugh their way through tough snow conditions as John bags his first airtime in years.
Armed with a winch & a full arsenal of equipment for setting up street spots, Pat, Jake, & Jeremy get to work in Salt Lake City. As they set-up & take down spots across the city, the crew shares insights on winch-fueled street progression & how it has changed the way they see & ride the streets of SLC. Along the way, they highlight Jake’s mellow, carefree approach to filming and what his energy brings to the crew.
SNOWBOARDER is back with another cinematic stunner for those shreds who scratch that itch watching flicks before heading out for a ride. This year the crew is all-time and the action is insane. Featuring Jake Welch, Iikka Backstrom, Blake Paul, Jake Blauvelt, Lucas Magoon, Hans Mindnich, Bryan Fox, Nils Mindnich, Scott Blum, Mark Sollars, Dustin Craven, Ethan Diess, Jake OE, Curtis Ciszek and Forest Bailey.
In season two of Blueprint, a Red Bull Media House original series, we get an inside look at Pat's life as he travels in search of new terrain for his latest film projects and is joined by some of his biggest snowboarding influences and closest friends along the way.
