Coming from Carbondale, Colorado and now residing in Silverthorne, Blake Axelson seemingly traveled the globe to create this full part. Well, it might be mostly Colorado and Japan, but it still has that worldly feel.
Apparently it's that time of the year when riders and video editors are rushing to get their footage from last season out before this season is fully underway. I mean, you only had all summer, right? Anyway, here are three edits all filmed mostly in Colorado:
Another opening day is in the books and the Colorado snowboard season is now officially underway. Arapahoe Basin continued their streak as the first resort open in the state and, as expected, Nate Dogggg claimed first chair.
Arapahoe Basin Ski Area (A-Basin) will kick off Colorado’s 2014-15 ski and snowboard season on Friday, October 17, 2014. Skiers and snowboarders will be able to make turns on the intermediate High Noon trail starting at 9:00 a.m.
Some of snowboarding's brightest stars were in Denver last night to celebrate 20 years of Jamie Lynn with Lib Tech and the history of Mervin. From legends, to video stars, to Olympic gold medalists, it seemed like just about everyone was at Denver Beer Co.
"We are as into the early season as you all are – we promise that we will open as soon as we are ready. Renew your pass, tune your board, and get ready because the 2014-15 season is right around the corner."

Joel Gratz of OpenSnow.com is reporting that "upwards of 10 inches" can be expected at high elevations through the weekend. This is great news for ski resorts racing to open, but I hope it means more Loveland Pass edits and photos like this:
